M.A. in Music

The M.A. in Applied Music Pedagogy prepares students who already have a bachelor's degree in Music for successful college-level teaching; in-service elementary and secondary public or private school teaching; or continuation into doctoral degree work. Admission into the program requires approval by the appropriate applied faculty through an audition in the student’s applied area (instrument or voice).

Program Benefits

Northeastern is one of the only universities in the region to offer a degree in pedagogy. The Department of Music and Dance is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).
