By designing the functions and expressions of clothing and other products and artefacts related to the body, fashion designers can explore, develop, and propose new possibilities. This can range from diversification and freedom of expression from a social and cultural sustainability perspective to the development of clothing that enables, contributes to, and shapes different human activities in, for example, sports, outdoors, or work.
